Oct 28, 2006 · Hi, I'm a student at Harvard. I see visitors at Harvard everyday. As a freshman, I lived in Hollis Hall, which was across the Yard from University Hall (where the statue is). As it turns out, the shoe is rubbed for good luck. But bad news: that shiny, rubbed-smooth foot is a favorite place for drunk Harvard students to urine on.
